Animal Fats

Lard - Obtained from hogs. Pork fat has long been used in the soap making industry. It produces a mild, stabilizing & super creamy lather. The properties are very similar to Palm and, with the controversy surrounding Palm oil, Lard is a great alternative! All of our lard is rendered here on the farm but it originates from other local farmers. It really does produce a great bar of soap!

Tallow - Obtained from cattle (cows). Beef fat is rendered here on the farm but it originates from other local farmers. Tallow produces a rich, creamy lather that is gently cleansing and wonderful for the skin!
